Conservancy signs hydroelectric agreement
On January 19, the Foothill Conservancy joined other nonprofit organizations, state and federal agencies, private boaters, and the Sacramento Municipal Utility District in signing a settlement agreement that will lead to a new license for SMUD's Upper American River (hydroelectric) project. Conservancy Vice-President Pete Bell played a key role in the final months of negotiation that led to the agreement. (click on American River Hydroelectric Project above for more) .
