Amanda Nelson, who served as the Foothill Conservancy Executive Director starting in July 2017, is pursuing new endeavors. We appreciate her contributions and wish her luck with her new life chapters.
Meanwhile, we are continuing our work and moving to better define our future by completing a new strategic plan with the interim assistance of management consultant Shelly Hance of Columbia. Shelly served as Amador-Tuolumne Community Action Agency’s Executive Director for 25 years and comes to us with great experience and leadership skills. She began working with us in March.
“I am so impressed with the mission, vision, many accomplishments, and commitment of the Board, staff, and volunteers,” she said. “As Board President, Katherine Evatt has been instrumental with providing guidance and administrative assistant Carolyn Schooley is a tremendous asset to the organization. It is a privilege to work with such a talented team of people."
Shelly loves the outdoors, hiking and rivers. She worked as a commercial river guide in the late 1970s and 1980s. Her favorite was the Stanislaus River. You can reach Shelly by e-mail (link to email@example.com)
