May 18 fundraising dinner to honor Susan Bragstad
2018 Annual Dinner at Karmère Vineyards & Winery
Put the date on your calendars and get your tickets now for the 2019 Foothill Conservancy Annual Dinner on Saturday, May 18. This year, we’ll be honoring Conservancy founding member, long-time director, and community leader Susan Bragstad of Amador City. The event will begin at 4:00 p.m. at Karmère Winery, 11970 Shenandoah Road, in the Shenandoah Valley east of Plymouth.

The dinner will feature delicious meat and vegetarian offerings from Taste Restaurant and Wine Bar, no-host craft beer and fine Karmère wines, live music from Amador’s own Wicked Sisters Band, a fabulous raffle, and live and silent auctions with special prizes including mountain resort and cabin lodging, meals, wine, and more.

In addition to helping found and guide the Conservancy since 1979, Susan is a founding member of the Kennedy Mine Foundation, the Motherlode (formerly Amador) Land Trust, Farms of Amador, and the Amador Farmers Markets. She earned an art degree from Trinity University and a bachelor of architecture degree from U.C. Berkeley.

In the course of her architectural career, Susan helped design Ghirardelli Square, saved many historic Victorian homes in San Francisco, and won four Sunset Western Home Awards. After retiring from architecture, she founded Amador Olive Oil, Amador County’s first modern olive oil producer, which she continues to operate today.

Susan moved to Amador County in 1983 and quickly became engaged in our community. She is the vice-mayor of Amador City and previously served four years as mayor.

Tickets are $65. They are available from the Conservancy office in Jackson (please call first) or online at Brown Paper Tickets .
