Now that we have reached some of the milestones in our aging strategic plan, the Foothill Conservancy will soon embark on a thorough strategic planning process. This process will consist of a complete review of current funding and programming practices, a board assessment, and conversations with interested stakeholders about our role in the community. The resulting plan will guide the Foothill Conservancy’s work for the next five to seven years.
“We get asked to help out with a wide variety of projects in Amador and Calaveras counties,” said Foothill Conservancy’s Executive Director, Amanda Nelson. “With a solid plan in place, we can be more efficient in determining what to go after and what to let others address.”
The work will begin in early July, with a complete plan to be finished by the beginning of August.
The Conservancy board raised the funds needed to develop a new strategic plan.
