We look forward to hearing from you!
Foothill Conservancy “Meet & Greet” in February
Foothill Conservancy has so many wonderful members, we’d love to get to know you better. Cecily Smith, our executive director, will be having a monthly “Meet and Greet” starting Thursday, February 18, from 7:30 a.m. to 9-ish at the Martell Starbucks. Join Cecily for casual conversation and to find out more about the Conservancy. The venue and times for the Meet and Greet will change each month, and will be posted on our events calendar. Have an idea for a great meeting spot? Contact Cecily, 209-223-3508.
Donating just got easier!
Foothill Conservancy thanks our members for your continued financial support. Now there is a new way to donate. Last month Congress passed the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act of 2015. Under PATH, individuals over the age of 70.5 years who own an IRA may donate up to $100,000 without any tax penalty. The donation counts toward your required minimum distribution and saves you from paying taxes on the donated amount. A true win-win for nonprofits and their supporters. Check with your financial planner for more details.
Still want to receive Focus in your mailbox?
We love updating our members and supporters with our Focus newsletter. Focus is posted online on our website for easily accessible reading. Many of you now receive our newsletter by mail. We will continue to mail the Focus to those who prefer a paper copy. However, to help reduce our printing and postage costs (so we have more funds for program work), we are asking people who do not want to get the Focus by mail to contact Carolyn, 209-223-3508, as soon as possible. Thanks!
