Local Planners, Meeting Times
Last year, Calaveras County hired a new head planner, Kim Hansen. Hansen formerly worked for Marin County as its principal planner. Calaveras County Supervisor Paul Stein recently appointed Adam Colburn as the new planning commissioner for the Glencoe-Rail Road Flat-Wilseyville-West Point area. He replaces James Coyne, who served on the commission for the last six years. The Calaveras County Planning Commission meets at the Government -Center in San Andreas on the second and third Thursdays of every month at 9 a.m., in the supervisors’ chambers.

Amador County Supervisor Richard Forster has appointed Barry Risberg to the Planning Commission to represent District 2, which encompasses much of the western part of the county. Risberg has lived in the Ione area since 1989. The Amador County Planning Commission meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m., at the Begovich Government Center, 500 Argonaut Lane, Jackson.
