Beginning in 1979, there have been a series of symposia held every 5 to 7 years addressing the state of our knowledge about science, policy and management factors affecting California’s oak resource. This upcoming program represents the 7th symposium in the series.

Western Chapter IECA with the help of the California Water Board, Caltrans, UC Davis, USDA, CalPoly-SLO plus expert consultants from select companies, have come together as a group to share critical management strategies dealing with this year’s drought in California.

Workshop and Webcast -Ranching and California's Drought
UC Davis campus and webcast to Auburn, Ventura, San Luis Obispo, Bakersfield, Tulare, Merced, Ukiah, Redding, Susanville, Yreka – more locations and details coming soon.
This workshop will tell the story of the Drought Monitor, in particular how the map may help ranchers qualify for drought relief assistance – and how local California experience and information can be used to inform the drought mapping process.
